The 4-Day Uganda Double Gorilla Trek takes you into the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of the world’s top destinations for mountain gorilla encounters. The journey starts from Entebbe or Kampala with a scenic drive through rolling hills, farmlands, and local villages before arriving at the lush rainforest. Over the next two days, you will embark on two separate gorilla treks, giving you the rare opportunity to visit different gorilla families or enjoy a deeper, more detailed experience with the same group.
Each trek allows you to spend a magical hour observing the gorillas as they feed, play, and interact under the guidance of professional rangers. Between treks, you will relax at a forest lodge and enjoy optional activities such as cultural visits, birdwatching, or nature walks. This adventure is ideal for nature lovers and photographers seeking an intimate and immersive wildlife experience.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi national park
Upon arrival, you will be met and greeted by your guide. He will transfer you to Bwindi gorilla national park. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the at the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.
Accommodation: Ichumbi gorilla lodge (Midrange)/ Gorilla hills eco lodge (Budget)
Meal plan: Full board
Day 2: First gorilla trek and Batwa cultural tour
Well prepared with your packed lunch, cameras, water, rain jackets, long pair of trouser and hiking boots and other gear, you will assemble for briefing time at 8:00 am, find the rangers that will inform you about gorilla tracking the great adventure and experience! The time taken to encounter these peaceful primates is impulsive for it may take 1-5 hours.
Nevertheless, on encounter, one may be forced to say, it is stunning!!!! After the adventure certificate rewards will be successful given out every trekker. After the trek, you will visit the Batwa community to learn more about their ways of life.

Day 3: Second gorilla trek and transfer to Mgahinga.

Day 4: Golden monkey trekking & transfer to Kigali
This will take us through the edges of the forest via potato fields and the briefing will be conducted at the briefing point. The trekking will take us 3-4 hours after the trekking; we shall return to the lodge. After enjoying a majestic one-hour stay with the golden monkeys, you will check out of the lodge and transfer back to Kigali international airport for your flight back home.
